Personally I'm a fan of APC, but they're not cheap. If you end up going for something else, we could always add support for it through sponsored development or a patch; of course it would mean their SNMP stack should be up to snuff :-)
Actually mine is an Eaton one....
fully managed though upon doing an snmp walk the device should be v 1 and 3 complient but gives version 2c responses. snmpget for {Cacti} simply returns "Empty String".
I've talked it over with my merchant and we're gona look at exchanging for APC it seems.... no more silly .exe app only upgrades for firmware or http interfaces that time out after 1 - 2 minutes of uses. Or RMA's that have gone on for 3 months with nothing happening!!

Having read the documentation for the APC models, they can be updated over FTP or SCP which is perfect unlike my current model which needs an M$ exe program and since my network is OpenSource only OS wise it's basically an issue.....
It seems to be a bad SNMP stack in my opinion as I've never had any issues using SNMP previously with many different vendors for network and peripheral devices. Observium even goes as far as graphing my HP print servers Toner values which is soo cool :-)
Can anyone give me any advice?
