[Observium] DNS Aliases

Hi,

I understand that Observium needs the hostnames to be valid, so we tweaked our hosts file with a regex to add an alias to match the device hostnames (as our initial names had some extra info in the names not on the hosts). But this appears to allow me to add devices manually but autodiscovery doesn't seem to be working. Does Observium need it to be the 'main' resolvable hostname rather than an alias?
