This is a request better addressed to microsoft, since as you discovered, windows isn't supplying sufficient data to allow autodiscovery.
They should be sending the interface address in LLDP.

I can manually add a windows workstation to Observium via the add feature. When looking at devices in Observium I can see that a switch sees the workstation NIC via LLDP. However it only sees it as a MAC and provides no further information on the system itself.
Windows 10:
64Bit
Symantec Endpoint Protection AV
SNMP Enabled and properly configured.
LLDP looks to be on in NIC features.
LLTD does not stay on under Windows Services.
