Hi,
Most likely because that UPS was not a new device for Observium? :-)

I upgraded the firmware already, but that didn't fix the issue. After running discovery.php to collect the debug information the temperature sensor started showing up in Observium. We are running a discovery of new devices from cron every 5 minutes so I'm not sure why running the discovery script manually fixed the issue, but I'll take it.
Thanks.

Is there a configuration setting required to enable detection of the module in Observium? I see the module listed as Port 1 Temp 1 in the UPS management interface. It looks like you need to upgrade the firmware.

Indeed, afaik we support all UPS temperature probes (they have a few different types using separate trees in the MIB).
The description you see is actually dependent on how you configured it on the controller card ;) - at least on the AP9631, never saw a AP9619 so not sure you can give it a description there.

On an AP9619, that entry will be listed as “Integrated”. On an AP9631, that entry will be listed as “Port 1 Temp 1”.
At least that’s what I’m seeing on my 15 APC UPS units… :D

I have an APC Smart-UPS 1500 with a network management card that includes environmental monitoring. When Observium discovers the device the battery temperature is displayed, but not the temperature from the probe connected to the management card. Does Observium have the ability to show the temperature from the probe on the management card?
Thanks.
