I replied about the Windows Services alerting a month or so ago. It’s a bit fiddly, but you need to create alert rules to alert on the winservice entity type. It’s fairly straightforward, but fiddly.
Once the services are discovered, you can match them and alert onthem following the metrics and attributes in the Entity Reference: https://docs.observium.org/entities/#windows-services
I’m not sure about ESX mnachine state, I don’t think we have a way to alert on this outside of doing it via finding a nagios plugin(probe) and using that.
