You can check what the ifType is of the ports that are being suppressed using snmpwalk, but yeah, it's probably tunnel.

I just noticed that Observium does not seem to list GRE Tunnel interfaces on Cisco routers. Are one of these including Tunnel interfaces? How do I get tunnel interfaces polled?
