this is the only TP-Link switch on customer site; the others are from another vendor (Extreme Networks), therefore I can't do any comparison.

Every 6 hours is while discovery runs; something on this switch apparently doesn't like what discovery is doing (too high cpu usage -> poller times out and loses sight of ports) ... is it running the same firmware version as the others?
