Hi Torstein,
Maybe this will help you to better understand the MIB: https://global.download.synology.com/download/Document/MIBGuide/Synology_ DiskStation_MIB_Guide.pdf
As you can see we could get way more info from our syno-friends...
Do you need any help with the UPS-part? I am currently in the same situation that I want to monitor the UPS connected to the nas.
Regards, Dion

Yes it is a USB ups.
I just found it a bit odd that the MIB file was in the source file, but i guessing it is missing at least a file from *includes/discovery.
I will probly try reverse engineer one of the other Synology files or a UPS file, in *includes/discovery.
And i have read the FAQ, but it seams to reference a files in a includes/definitions/ That i can not find like apps.inc.php, mibs.inc.php,

Torstein,
Feel free to contact me directly if you need some consulting work to have it done for you.
Do you have a USB UPS connected to the Synology? I assume it is, as if it's a network-connected UPS you can probably just monitor it directly...

You have to write code to understand and poll it.
See the entry in our FAQs :)
