Hi Marco,
So long as you don't really care about syslog/eventlog table, you can just copy devices table and rrds fine.
What version of PHP and on what OS?

Hi Adam,
thanks for your reply. I get no extra info by adding /debug=1/ to the url. You had also suggested to launch a new discovery for upgrading the database, but that's actually what probably broke the system, as the database is the only thing I had insanely not made a backup of, before upgrading. Now a roll back does not work, probably because the database is corrupted.
As somebody stated earlier, it looks very much like a php session issue. However, what I do know is that I re-made a fresh installation by using the stable version this time, and it worked.
Now the question is: how can I move the devices database without importing the corruption to the new database? If I just import the devices tables and the rrd folder and I launch a discovery, would that work?
thanks for your help. Best regards,
Marco

Hi,
There were some changes made recently, but no one who upgraded reported any issues at the time.
It's particularly odd if it happens to a /new/ installation (assuming it also had a new database).
Do you get anything useful if you put /debug=1/ in the URL?

I tried making a fresh Observium installation with a new database, new admins and by trying with the trunk and the stable version. Same result. No partition is full. The tmp partition has a 2% usage only. The only observium files I get in there are observium-agent-apache and observium-agent-mysql. I cannot find any related error message anywhere. What's weird is that it was working fine, then it suddenly stopped. No idea what happened, but this is a production monitoring system for us and I have to fix it asap! Rolling back to the old backup did not work either, still cannot login.
Looking forward to hear from anybody who may have any other suggestion. Thanks!

Marco specified that's not the case, however, those are all the symptoms of failing PHP session creation indeed.
Check if /tmp also isn't full?
I had the same issue on my test box a few days ago; there an apache restart fixed it. No idea what caused it.

I wonder if anybody can help me.
After upgrading from community to subscription version, I was happily browsing the new features, but after some time (about half hour) all users here got logged out and nobody could login any more. No error messages, we just get the login page again.
My hard disk is not full. I successfully created a new admin user but also cannot login. I cleaned the cache, the history and the cookies of the browser. If I check the table authlog in the database, it reports both old and new admin as regularly logged in.
Is there anything I am missing? Any step I forgot during upgrade? Any cache/session I should clear server side?
Your help is welcome.
Best regards,
Marco
