Hi Shaun,
The process is quite straightforward as far as I could test: - backup your config.php file - backup rrd directory - backup the database (mysqldump) - backup logs directory (if you need those, else just skip this step)
Restore those elements as is on the new deployment, and you should be up and running in no time.
Cheers,

Hi all
I hope and trust everyone is keeping well and safe during this time…
Can anyone please assist me, I am trying to make a backup of my Observium installation to move it to a “bigger” system / machine, I installed the application to see how it worked and to test features, needless to say that I love it, and have subsequently set it up to monitor my entire WISP network. However, I unfortunately did not pay much attention to the system’s specifications, as it was not initially intended to be a permanent deployment, not knowing what to expect or that it would turn out to be such a wonderful tool.
Please could you advise on a step by step procedure to enable me to make a full backup of the installation / database / configs in order to migrate it to a more future proof system, bearing in mind that my Linux experience is very limited…
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated
Stay safe
Regards, Shaun
