Just wondered if there was an alerting mechanism (such as the RSS feed) for the Stable train? So I know when to update etc.

If stable is r7629, it means it includes everything from current, up to r7628, so you can use that as the changelog.

The svn entry for 7629 itself will only say "merge current to stable" or similar, so it's not even that useful.
