Worked flawlessly...  In fact too well, now it is catching some entities I don't care about like switch stack redundancy where no redundant switch exists...

Is there a way I can exclude entities from alerts as they pop up and I don't care about them?  Sorry if all of this is basic stuff I should know.

Just make an alert of type Status and check for "status_event notequals ok"

What data does the device provide that you could alert on? Do they have status indicators that we collect?

I've got a condition where one of the hard drives in my Cisco C240 chassis failed.  Is there a way to build an alert checker to check on the status of drives in a server?
