Hi,

I don't know how many entries you have to make in the hosts file, but if I were you, I'd add the IP address as a suffix to the hostname to make it easy for the engineers.

Thanks,
Shekhar

Hello,

We have been using Observium for a couple of months now at our location, and it is working well..  The engineers have had one request though.  The notifications that are being sent out have the hostname of the device but not the IP Address.  Unfortunately, our network devices are not DNS (we are working to correct that), and to work around the issue, I have been updating the host file on the Observium server as I add devices.  The notifications go out with the hostname, but not the IP, so the engineers have to hunt for the IP when they receive them.

I have dug through the documentation, and have not been able to find/figure out a way of including the IP Address of the device with the notification (I have probably missed it).  Can anyone assist me in adding that to the notifications? (or at least point me in the right direction)

Thanks in advance for any assistance that is given
