What??  Yes it monitors snmp, kind of get that ;)

I am not even asking for anything new or to take away from what it already does.  It already has smokeping integration - I installed smokeping, created a target that matches a device name that monitoring via snmp already and boom there is menu item to show me pretty smokping graphs.  Sweet great, love it makes me like the product even more.

All I am asking is for a way to just add a device that is only smokeping (smokeping does all the work) so I can see everything in one interface..  Not to do anything all that fancy - just didn't want to have to dive into the code myself.  Just want to see my smokeping target in the same interface is all.

Not asking for the product to do anything other than hey list my smokeping targets, that you already integrate if I monitor via snmp..  Maybe a red circle on the graph if it hasn't answered ping in say an hour would be an extra bonus.

Observium is an SNMP monitoring platform. It also will show you graphs from smokeping, collectd and has a simple Linux agent to fetch more information from Linux hosts.

You might as well send a letter to a tractor manufacturer telling them that it's terribly useful that your tractor has a power takeoff shaft, but why do they have to force you to have those pesky wheels?

So I have observium up and running, even smokeping integration which
brings up my question.  I have a few vpses, seedbox, webhost, etc.
that I would like to add to my growing lists of devices in observium.

But seems you can not add a device that doesn't have snmp?

I don't want to monitor anything than the info than say my smokeping
graphs in the same web interface.  Be nice to show their location on
the man graph as green/yellow/red etc..

My vps I might even add the unix agent grab some info from them.. But
I don't really want or need snmp queries across the public net to them

So how do you add these types of devices - they added smokeping
integration to leverage the details it gives.  So how can I just see
these smokeping devices in the observium web interface without having
to add the device via snmp?  There doesn't seem to be a way to add a
device without being able to talk to it via snmp?
