Mmm, fair point, although our particular hospital is millions in debt, so paperclips are banned. Who knows where all the cash goes..

They certainly spend more on toilet paper, or coffee, or pens, or paper, or paperclips (ok maybe not paperclips)...well just about anything. Especially on an annual basis.
