I’d say before changing maxreps go to the device and go to the gearàPerformance data and see which module(s) are taking the longest.

If they’re ones you don’t care about you can disable them for that device.

Subject: [Observium] Re: cisco ASA's polling slow

Caution: This is an external email. Do not open attachments or click links from unknown or unexpected emails.

This can happen when a device has a large number of interfaces and/or the device is a long way away (ping time).

Also, the snmp poller only collects 10 items at a time which is compatible with everything.

However some devices can handle collecting many more items at a time.

Go into Device Properties,  SNMP tab and set "Max Repetitions" to a higher number, say 50 or 100.

Hi, I am just noticing that my Cisco ASA’s poll really slow.  While all my other infrastructure seems to poll about 5 to 7 sec per device, the ASA’s all take 50 to 60 sec.

Does anyone know why this is and maybe how to speed things up?

Thanks
