Have a look at the documentation on what is possible to alert on - I generally say that if Observium can monitor it, it can alert on it.

nope. You can try the community version or buy the professional. For me it is sufficient to estimate whether observium fits the needs or not with an impression of the community edition.
Please make sure that observium does fit your need with its philosophy.
The professional version is available at a very good price for such a mature and scalable monitoring solution. It is okay to spend a years suscribtion.
