Syslog is running. I will check the port part & feed you back. What about sensors? Any idea?

Are you sure rsyslog is running and listening on UDP 514?

Have you checked to see if you can access UDP 514 on your observium
server from your client server?

I would ensure that the basic functionality of a log server / client
worked before I started troubleshooting the observium part.
