We expect a street address in the location field (or more specifically a location field that can be parsed by whatever geolocation service is used).
I have already run a brick wall a couple of times with location specifications, never got anywhere unless I put Lat+Long into square brackets.
So: Is there a way to *test* the location info against the geolocation service that is being used? Like a text field where I can input the sysLocation contents and it tells me what it believes I put there?
Reconfiguring and repolling is not so nice if you don't know what you're looking for, esp. if you're dealing with older Juniper gear that takes a while to commit.
Yours, Elmar.
You can put coordinates directly into sysLocation inside square brackets like :
http://docs.observium.org/config_options/#reverse-geocoding
To quickly repoll the basic device data when testing you can do ./poller.php -h <hostname/device_id> -m system
