Yes, you can do it from CLI. Use the tool rename_device.php <old-name> <new-name>

I have a silly question but is it possible to change the name of a device once it’s been added without loosing any data ?

AFAIK, only available option is to delete the device and re-add it afterwards ? Am I correct ?
