The web interface uses the same functions as the commandline interface and as such should use the same configuration values. Is could not ping host the exact error you are getting? Feel free to hop by our IRC channel if you want to discuss things.

By the way, http://webchat.freenode.net/ doesn't load and www.freenode.net gets connection refused, the service is alive?

Please do note SLES is not an "officially supported platform" for us, as we don't develop on/for it, but if you get it to work, then of course by all means enjoy it ;-)
