We do not know anything about the network in question beyond the fact that it is probably monitored with Observium.
Also Cisco released basic EIGRP functionality for other vendors to implement in a RFC.
So the real question is not “why?” but “is this supported in Observium?”.. and the real answer is “no”.

The real question is Why ? Ospf can be used with all vendor, eigrp .. not compatible unless you have a cisco network and other clone equipment.
Ospf is widely supported and even with software like Observium. You can expect to have bad or no support using EIGRP

I've been running OSPF but am changing to EIGRP. EIGRP isn't showing in the routing section when I look at devices.
