Is there a general Idea hos to handle power supplies in observium? Via a
sensor seams somewhat wrong for me, because I do not get any voltage or
similar readings, only presence and status info.

What I like to do us to monitor power supplies for presence and failure
especially of Brocade MLXe and ICX devices.

Also nice would be something similar for fans as staring on page 118 (94).
