you are not on the good way. you have to be in /opt/observium for me like example.
i am not sure but try it.

Trying to update observium with ‘svn update’ like I have been doing on another server, but on this server with a fresh install I am getting the following error.

Any pointers in the right direction would be great, I did a normal svn checkout for the install as per the guide.
