The only thing I can suggest is to use the test_alert.php script and see if it outputs anything interesting.

I'm surprised it's working at all on 16.04 though :D

It could be down to having to use php's fetch, since that's red. But you'll likely get some more useful indication from the test_alert script.

Other alerts work perfectly. In my opinion, there seems to be something wrong with the device. But I have already added it again several times, deleted all rrd files etc.

I have a problem with some alerters...
Although the alert really triggers and I get the confirmation “ALERT_NOTIFIY”, I get no message. No matter if by mail, SMS or webhook. Everything works normally with other alert checkers.
