Thanks Colin,

I have one more query, even I am not able to login with any username (I have backup user for GUI access). Also I created new user via CLI, but not able to login.

Sathish

Hi Sathish,

As Adam mentioned, you’re the only person to have ever reported an issue like this recently (quite likely ever.), and there’s no possible way this an Observium code related issue (provided you’re using official and unpatched/unmodified code.)

Access to the CLI is entirely independent of Observium.

It’s quite possible someone’s accessing Observium via the web interface, or directly via the database, and yet has no access to that system via SSH/telnet/whatever it is you use.

You will need to work out what’s happening on your system for your specific issue to be occurring.

e.g.

Look at your web server logs and look at the database access history.

Look at /opt/observium/logs/observium.log and /opt/observium/logs/db.log (or wherever they reside on your system.)

Thanks for the reply Adam. No I have set a strong password.

I am able to access the GUI for quite some time and after some days, I am receiving authentication failure issues. Even, there is no one will access the tool.

It is quite simple mistake, but it is true and it is happening.

Could you please told, then how my password will change even if I am not changed the same.

Even, with new user and password with level 10, I am not able to access the GUI.

Here one thing is I have no issue to CLI.

You're the only person to have ever reported this, so I'm going to assume you're setting a silly password like "password", and your install is getting hacked.

There's literally nothing in Observium which could cause this to happen otherwise. This is definitely user error.

Hello Adam,

I have found wired behavior with Observium, may be it is my configuration mistake or I am not sure.

My issue, I am used login Observium GUI using admin user. After some days, when I try to login with observium I am getting authentication failed.

Here I have not changed in configuration.

This is happened, 3 times in last 1 month. Every time I used to rebuild the Observium.   Please suggest a solution and let me know if you want any information.
