This device’s SNMP is functionally broken.

 

Removing OIDs from the output when the generator isn’t running is fundamentally stupid. We can’t collect this data.

 

The best you could do is write an external probe script to check if these OIDs exist and return alert codes based on their state.

Hi, a while ago you added support for the Kohler Generators. (thanks).  I am noticing some issues.

  1. The generator is listed as in “alarm status” all the time, no matter whats going on with the generator
  2. When the generator goes under load, the observium state does not change to reflect that.

I have attached 2 screen shots to illustrate as well as a txt file with the corresponding snmpwalk outputs.

 

 

Also, Kohler has updated the mib, I have attached that as well, can you update the code base with this?
