I would like the option to customise the alert string sent to pagerduty to include the description. It looks like there is a config entry that controls the string format, but it gets stomped on after the config.php is read.

Subjects use the entity name. There is generally not enough space in the subject line (or the initial line of most notification transports) to include a description.

Ports are the only entity that really has a description field. It's difficult to find space to include this in space-limited places.
