Hi,
Testing with backend smtp and using other MDA, problem still persist. I think the problem is in Mail class.

one thing I find strange is that we have two observium servers, but only one is sending e-mail in base64.
both have local postfix as LDA.

I have seen this issue with Gmail, although I have not looked into why Gmail fails to parse the MIME encoding properly. The same email views fine on iOS and OSX.
