I don't believe Weathermap is an official extension of Observium, however I did it using this webpage's instructions:

Also, FWIW, it broke when I attempted to use RRDcached.

I try to figure out and fix my weathermap, it shows error as following:

[root@observium logs]# /opt/observium/html/weathermap/map-poller.php PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/includes/db.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php') in /opt/observium/includes/definitions.inc.php on line 475

any advice to make it working pls?

Attached is my notes to resolving the issues I encountered following the before mentioned link: http://blog.best-practice.se/2014/07/using-php-weathermap-with-observium.htm...

Here are a few:

1) map-poller.php fails with a fatal error -- my workaround was to comment out the offending line

2) map-poller.php is very path dependent -- Steps 2 and 7 in the blog post were critical to the correct operation of the php script

3) navbar-custom.inc.php needs to be corrected to show icons inside of observium --- 'icon' => $config['icon']['netmap']

Edit the weathermap file and add this (by example after require) : putenv ("RRDCACHED_ADDRESS=/var/run/rrdcached.sock");

And it's works now ;-)
