Unable to poll a once working Device
Hi there,
I have multiple environmental Devices which are working fine for years now. A view weeks ago one of was shown as unable to poll. A SNMPwalk for the Device works fine. I've tried to add the device via it's IP no luck there. I've rebooted the Server and the Device multiple times. I flushed the DNS cache.
Attached are the debug Output of a poller run of a working Device poll_tempboxnl.txt and of the non-working Device poll_tempboxnz.txt as well as the discovery and snmpwalk output.
xxx_tempboxnl.txt working. xxx_tempboxnz.txt not working.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Best regards Andras
This device has a broken SNMP stack that doesn't return anything outside of its limited enterprise tree.
This device is set to the unix OS type, the one that works is set to messpc-ethernetbox, which has workarounds for the broken SNMP stack.
If you delete the device and re-add it, it should be added with the correct OS.
Adam.
