Hello all,
Been scratching my head on this one. All I did is move the Observium VM from one network to another (closed). I cannot seem to figure out why I cannot add new hosts. No firewalls in the way. SNMP verified running on the host. Hosts are pinging each other.
Is there a command to verify what is wrong between Observium and a host and why it's not adding?
I am using public as the SNMP community name. One thing that does seem odd is this message when trying to add a host.
No reply on given community *** using v2c, it showing the 3 asterisks versus it saying public.
Any suggestions would be awesome!
Leo
Have you verified that you can query the devices manually from the VM with snmpget?
snmpget -v2c -c <community> <hostname> sysObjectID.0
