Re: [Observium] Alerting on custom OID
Hello Chris,
Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately I’ve no success with your proposal
I’ve defined my custom OID like this
I know it works because if the state change , I see it’s taken into account into Observium
I’ve defined my Alert check like this :
But it’s still doesn’t work ;-(
Adam any tip to help me ?
Best Regards
Thibault

Hello,
Could you please help me to achieve the alert checks I need
I ‘ve defined the following custom OID
The result ca only be O (means OK) or 1 (means KO)
I want to be alerted when the value is 1
I’ve tried a lot of combination including the following :
I know the solution is in the condition checker but I don’t know how to define the condition “if the OID value is XX”
I’m completely lost
Could you please help me ?

Hi,
As per the docs, the only available metric for Custom OIDs is ‘value’ : https://docs.observium.org/entities/#metrics_15
Also as per the docs, ‘equal’ isn’t actually a valid comparator keyword :
https://docs.observium.org/alert_checker/#syntax-of-test-evaluators
You need to use eq or equals (as in the association rule in the screenshot)
Thanks,
Adam.
