Hello, I am new to the group. Are there any plans to support Force 10 switches?

Sorry about the newbie questions.
I am trying to add a Force 10 S4810 OS Version: 8.3.12.1. It looks like its successful, but never shows up in the inventory. Any pointers as to where to look to troubleshoot?
I would like to compliment the team that has created Observium. I have been in this business a long time and have not seen a better management platform.
I am not a programmer but I am willing to help out with the project. Let me know if there is anything I can help with.
Bruce

Hello Bruce,
8.3.12.1 if bugged you should/have to upgrade to the latest version. Be careful, the upgrade to 9.2 is …. Stupid, and you may have to reboot twice.
What are you really looking to check, here the report on
Observium CE 0.13.10.4585

This is off topic here but anyway :
The most annoying bug was Mac learning / ARP when you have a stack ( VLT ) with 40G and you mix it with Spanning-tree 10G to another VLT
The first VLT of 2 * S4810 are doing BGP with Vlan.L3 interfaces cannot see the mac to the other 2*4810 with the same config. Upgrade from 8.x to 9.x fixed it.
There is also plenty of bug fix in 9.2 ( you should really read the release notes of the 9.2 you will be surprised )
Another improvement is the dual boot partition ( stolen from Juniper EX BTW ), so in case of faulty filesystem, you don’t loose your switch, you boot from the second one. That’s the reason why you will probably have to do 2 upgrades ( re-format / re-size of the internal flash system )
