Folks,
So my graphs directory is empty. Thinking that this may be path issue (given that I have all the required supporting software installed), can someone tell me (a) what program generates the output that will go into the graphs directory and (b) which PHP scripts call that program?
Thanks... Doug

We no longer use the graphs directory, it's a leftover from when graphs were generated during polling time, long, long ago.

Hi Adam,
OK... good... I am still trying to figure out why I have no graphs. Got any hints for me? Things to check?
Thanks.. Doug

The problem usually is that you're trying to use CentOS (or you've more money than sense and are trying to use RHEL)
If that's not it, it's probably a fairly simple configuration error.
"I have no graphs" means virtually nothing to us though, we've had many different issues described that exact same way. You need to describe what is or isn't happening properly, and/or provide screenshots.
Are there RRDs in the RRD directory?

OS is FreeBSD 8.2. Installation was done to the letter of your docs. No problems were encountered on that front. There are indeed RRD data in the rrd directory.
The problem:
I go to "Devices", for example, select the "Graphs" tab and there are... no graphs.
In *any* of the mouse-overs that should present one with a graph... there are... no graphs. Nothing for memory, CPU, traffic, etc. Yet on other screens where numerical values for, say, bit/s are listed, I can see accurate values there, so I know that devices are being polled and stats are being gathered.
What else would you like to know?
Thanks... Doug

There are no graphics displayed at all. Not an empty graph, just nothing at all. It is very odd indeed.

Well, It's probably related to the host being FreeBSD. I don't know who wrote the FreeBSD doc, but it wasn't any of the developers :>
There's probably a library or something missing. No graphs, not even an error graph suggests that rrdtool isn't working.
You can try adding &debug=1 to a graph URL, and then copy/pasting the rrdtool command to the commandline to see what happens.
It's the line that starts with "graph". You paste it after rrdtool.
