Hi,
we use Observium to monitor even some firewalls from the outside, to check the connectivity status; does it exist any way to override the "Already got device" error when the SNMP is already within the database, just for some devices?
Just as a hint, a way to use more IPs to gain the same device, and relative availability graph only, would be great.
Best Luca
Create hosts/DNS entries for "firewall", "firewall-outside", "firewall-DMZ1", etc? Then when you create them as separate devices you can turn off all the items you don't want on those.

Sure,
But probably don't poll the same device multiple times, control planes don't like that.
Your question is an odd one, probably use smokeping or something for that.
Adam.

Already tried, but Observium detects the same SNMP string and prints with "Already got device".
Thank you anyway Luca
