
I think it's worth pointing out that if you're planning to do any development, you should come to our IRC channel, #observium on freenode.
It's usually a lot quicker to get questions answered, and you might save yourself a lot of time by not copying the wrong bit of code.

As also mentioned on the wiki (http://www.observium.org/wiki/Developing_for_Observium):
"There is a lot of code of different ages in Observium, which has evolved through a number of different code stages. Please check with the developers first before taking something as a base to start from, as it may no longer be the preferred way of doing things!"
