Re: [Observium] Snmptrap Integration?

We don't do snmptraps.

Is there any way for observium to display snmptraps, specifically from dell dracs ? I see on the wiki that snmptt integration is possible but experimental. I have configured a test drac, snmptrapd, and snmptt. I can see in /var/log/messages that the test message from the drac is reaching the server, but I don't see it showing up in observium. Am I overlooking something fundamental ? Is this even possible ?
Thanks,

You once did, yes ? It's deprecated now? Ok then. Thanks.

About 4 years ago I wrote a couple of lines of code to update port up/down state based on a single trap type from snmptt.
So no, we don't support traps. We considered it once, and I had a go at supporting one single trap, but it seemed far too labour intensive.

Hi Ryan, If you just want to see the traps you could throw them into the syslog. This might point you in the right direction: https://bazsi.blogs.balabit.com/2008/11/syslog-ng-3-0-and-snmp-traps/ Cheers, Nathan

No, we never did.
As noted, there is experimental code for interface up/down only, which is not actually supported.

Ah ok. I thought that was really old stuff from the original CE version. Thanks all for your time.
