Hi all, Currently I have many custom applications graphs with Cacti and I really want to use Observium for this. Is there any procedure with a little example to graph from scratch?
I will really appreciate. Regards, Andres

Hi,
It's more complex with Observium than with Cacti.
We don't have any real examples, only the existing code itself.

While on the topic,
Does observium support combined graphs for things other than interfaces? Say power draw among pdus?
So combined graphs for the same data/graph type? Up to now I just wrote some scripts that used existing observium RRD data but something more elegant would be cool.

We don't have any combined grtaph types for anything else, as we've not needed them anywhere in the UI yet.
If you can suggest a good place to put them, we can create graphtypes for them.

Combined power usage is the main one that comes to mind. Similar to combined bandwidth. I could grab power numbers for entire locations etc.

I'm not sure where you would put them though...sorry missed that in the original response.

If anyone is interested in custom graphs here is an example:

+1 for combined graphs, it will be very useful.

This is a good example of how /not/ to do things.
These sensors should have gone into the sensors table, not some random rpi application.

Well, that's probably true, but we used that guide to collect custom apps data...
About combined graphs, our use case would be the aggregated throughput of a solution that's spread in N servers.
