We're in the processing of deploying a number of Calix E7 shelves and we'd really like to be able to monitor them using Observium. The problem is that a fairly full shelf can take a very long time (well over 5 mintues) to discover/poll. Our major concern is to be able to look at the uplink ports & the physical PON ports. More info would be nice, but it's not as important.

If anyone is using Observium to monitor these devices and would be willing to share how you're doing it we'd greatly appreciate it.
