Hello,
I installed community version through Turnkey appliance and drive a test with 25 network devices.
Then I ran unto subscription version and I have noticed port-channel members are not appearing anymore in the port list, for example, in a 4500 VSS.
The exaclly same devices are correctly showing port-channel and interface members top right column.
What could this be caused by?
Thanks in advance,
Miguel
Hi Miguel,
What you are saying is you had this working in the old version (I think turnkey is from 2013) and it was broken somewhere later as you are now running subscription version?
What do you mean exactly by port list and top right column?
Tom

Dear Tom,
I have tested this more in deep and have found more details.
I have two devices, a Cisco 6509 VSS (Cisco IOS Software, s72033_rp Software (s72033_rp-IPSERVICESK9-M), Version 15.1(2)SY2) with two chassis and a Cisco 4500 VSS with two chassis as well (Cisco IOS-XE 03.04.05.SG).
The problem is that port-channel related icons dont appear in port list screen. Normally, if a regular interface is a port-channel member, an icon appears top right column on the interfaces list. Same way, port-channel interfaces have all its members represented by icons top right column. It is the same place where you see the ARP learned devices on that interface. Those are links and you can quckly navigate between port-channel interfaces and its memebers.
NON WORKING SETUP Port-channel icons work on 6500 VSS but DOESNT work on 4500 VSS ================================================================================= Observium 0.15.9.7041 (24th September 2015) OS Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 [amd64] (Debian 7.9) Apache 2.2.22 (Debian) PHP 5.4.45-0+deb7u1 Python 2.7.3 MySQL 5.5.44-0+deb7u1 (extension: mysqli 5.5.44) SNMP NET-SNMP 5.4.3 RRDtool 1.4.7
WORKING SETUP Port-Channel icons work on both 6500 VSS and 4500 VSS =================================================================== I still have up the appliance running against the very same devices Observium CE 0.13.10.4585 Apache 2.2.22 (Debian) PHP 5.4.4-14+deb7u5 MySQL 5.5.44-0+deb7u1 RRDtool 1.4.7
So I am afraid the answer to your question is that something got broke between 0.13.10.4585 and 0.15.9.7041, since the target devices are exactly the same. Either that or a config issue with a directive i may not be aware of, but still, it is strange it does work on 6500 (IOS) and does not work on 4500 (IOS-XE)
If you need to see the icons i am referring to, I can take some screenshots.
Thanks in advance,
Miguel

Hello,
Please find attached some captures that graphically describe the issue.
It seems this is happening with latest versions and CISCO IOS-XE devices, as regular IOS devices doesnt seem to be affected
Below, two captures of the Port-Channel member icons (convergent arrows) and Interface member icons (divergent arrows) appearing on rightmost column of port list
http://tinypic.com/r/ok4wib/8 http://tinypic.com/r/oau9eq/8
Below, two captures of same above not working in lastest release
All points to the very same device.
Please, can anyone help with this issue?
Kind regards,
Miguel Berniz
