Alert Threshold for CBQoS drops
Hi,
Is it possible to have alert elements/metrics which use data collected from CBQoS, like drops for example?
Reason for request - we would like to get alerting for certain types of port (CORE for example) where QoS is performing drops. Currently (in another system) we poll a global statistic which gives us the 'total' number of drops per chassis or LC, but this does nothing more than point towards a chassis or line-card. A human then have to pick their way through the CBQoS stats to try to see where it was (if it was big), which very time consumptive.
The statistics and framework all appear to be in place within Observium, just need to know if there are some metric conditions which can use CBQoS as a trigger, like ifCBQoSDrops_rate > 10 for example?
So, is this already possible? Or should I make a feature request?
Cheers all!

Its not yet possible. It's require a fair bit of work, since cbqos as an entity type relies on another entity type for context, which is unique so far.
I'll think about it for the future, but only because you asked so nicely! :D
Thanks, Adam.

Hi – excellent thanks, didn’t realise it would be more involved than simply adding additional attributes to alerting etc. so would appreciate it if you can find some time for it! :)
Cheers!
