The bottom option forces Observium to use the configured email address instead of the sysContact on the device being alerted for.

*DO NOT* change any SMTP-related settings. The server just needs a functional MTA, postfix usually works fine, and installing the package asks you enough questions to make it work.

Email notification works, else we'd be flooded with hundreds of reports about it. If Observium is successfully passing an email to your MTA, but it's not being delivered, you need to work out why the MTA isn't delivering the mail.

Any mail application better mail vs sendmail? I setup email settings in the config.php but I never receive an email.
