Vendor & Hardware Changes in event log

I am constantly seeing updates in the event log telling me that the Vendor and Hardware details have been ‘changed’. It looks like this is happening for all devices even though none of those details have actually changed.
I’d like to monitor the event log for things that actually happen 😊. Do I need to change anything to exclude these warnings about non-existent changes?
FYI I’m running 19.3.9774
Cheers
Mal

Hi,
you have completed db schema update `./discovery.php -u` after code update?

Hi Mike – yes definitely ran the discovery. To confirm I just ran it again and it reported up to date.
Here is the event log from one of my main routers that has been online for 2+ years.
I did an svn update and ran the discovery at around 17:00 which lines up with the first log entry saying the hardware and vendors have changed. Since the box has been monitored from Observium for 2 years or so it seems strange that it reports a change in hardware and vendor. I would have thought those details would have already been in the dB and wouldn’t report any change.
Also you can see that around 90 minute later it adds a number of sensors and then immediately deletes the same sensors. If I look at the entire event log for ‘sensors added’ today it lists 54 sensors added from devices that have had no changes made to them. Not sure what is going on there or if it is related in any way.
Appreciate any thoughts/clarification.
Cheers
Mal

Hi Mal,
single time remove/add for sensors/status (after update) - this is normal due we changed format for many sensors definitions. Also single time add Vendor and change hardware also normal (vendor field added recently and I was made some changes for Huawei hardware detect).
Problem only if you see this changes after EVERY poll (5min interval), than show/attach debug for poller: ./poller.php -d -h <device>
