Hi all,
We use the geocoding functionality in Observium to place the devices on the front page map. All is working reasonably well. Today we set the SNMP sysLocation field locally in each device to street address ("Street, City, Country") We would like to be able to add "non-Geolocation" information to the sysLocation string without messing up the geolocation functionality. For example, we would like to add "Room 34, Rack 2" to the sysLocation.
Is there functionality in Obervium to do this today? E.g. putting the extra information in "()" or other special characters?
Regards, /Ulrik Ivers

Using "Room 34, Rack 2, Street, City, Country" works well here.
Hi,
Thanks for sharing!
Which API do you use, mapquest or google?

The default mapquest atm, though IIRC google was working well, too.
Actually, I don't see any difference between the two API's. I think I read somewhere that mapquest has unlimited number of queries per day, but I'm not sure if it is true.

We use the NeDi hierarchical format, which also seems to work if using the Google API (not MapQuest). This looks like (for example):
US;CA;Anaheim,1234 Main Street;2nd Floor;Server Room
