Hi, i have created a bunch of ping probes in the past and never had an issue, however, on this particular install...I created a single ping probe and it has not run after days. How do I troubleshoot this issue?

You need to check the disable defaults box if you're providing the hostname

Ryan, thanks for the suggestion, on my other installs, I do not have that checked and they work. I did try your suggestion, but it did not help, the ping probe seems to not be running.

I always drop down and run the check manually from the Observium box to see if your arguments are an issue or not, for example

Ryan, great suggestion....which lead me to this startling revelation:
If you want to use the check_ping probe, you should install the check_ping probe.....
I never installed the Nagios probes, so....it would not run. I am all set, thanks for pointing me in the right direction!!!
