How do you do?

maybe somebody can help me.

since a few days I have the problem that he doesn't create graphs for me anymore.

Can somebody tell me what to control to make it work again ?

Hi,

This looks like the poller isnt running anymore, or it cant write to the rrds anymore.

Check that the rrd directory and its contents are writable by the user that runs the poller, and you can see in logs/observium.log if the poller has been running.

Note that in Observium graphs arent created during polling, theyre created when you view them. If graphs dont contain new data, its because the data isnt being put into the rrds.

Unfortunately I have to admit that I am rather the Noob or beginner in Linux.

How do I find out which user does the polling and what are the permissions and ownerships?

Hello again,

i just have started the poller manually with debug output. [cid:image002.png@01D56FAD.636C1270]

It seems, that he can create the rrd files.

Permissions: [cid:image003.png@01D56FAD.636C1270]

Cron-Jobs by crontab -e [cid:image004.png@01D56FAD.636C1270]

But no graphs are shown. Can somebody help??

Hi,

The poller-wrapper is set to run with a 3 minute frequency, this is incorrect, it should be set to 5 minutes. (this wont cause this problem, but its still wrong).

Whats the ownership of the contents of the rrd directory?

Thank you for your answer.

In the meantime, I have deleted the installation and completely reinstalled it. Now (still) everything works incl. graphs.

What ownership should rrd have?
