Is the "Duration" field in email alerts working as intended?
I offlined a BGP peer to force an alert and the first ALERT message says "Duration 6 days, 16h 59m 55s"
If this is trying to tell me the last time it alerted it is incorrect, because this router was offline on Monday for maintenance.
Additionally when it came back up (under 10 minutes) I would expect the duration to tell me how long the alert was active, instead I get this: 6 days, 17h 9m 44s. That's the 10 minutes (two polling cycles) the device was off. But where is the rest of that value coming from?
Running SVN 4922
Thanks,

Thats how long since the alert entry was last "OK".
If it's not OK for 5 minutes, then the device is offline for a year, the duration is 1 year and 5 minutes.

So unless I am mis-understanding you, why was the duration 6 days 17h 9m 44s, and not 10 minutes when the alert went into recovery?
