Monitor IPMI availability
Hello!
I'm wondering if there is a way to monitor the presence / availability of the IPMI module in Observium. Most if the servers are SuperMicro. I'm able to poll temperatures, fan speed and etc. through IPMI, but is there a way to receive an alert when IPMI module is not reachable (client often remove the cable to the interface by mistake, or some network issue) the same as I receive alerts for server down, port down. If there is no way, I will appreciate if someone suggest a workaround...
Hello,
no one do not knows a way? :(

Hello,
as I see LibreNMS added alarm for IPMI based on the last update from the database... You can check it here: https://github.com/librenms/librenms/issues/2493 Can you do something like that, or another way could be test using HTTP request or just icmp?

Hi,
We've some plans on ways to do this in the future, but it's not something we can do at the moment without it being an ugly "hack", like some lesser people might implement...

Hello, thanks for the info!
When we can expect that feature to be added? We will really appreciate it, we use IPMI console a lot, and it's very disappointing when you think you have access to particular server, loose the main one for some reason, type joyfully the IPMI address in the browser and finally realize it is not working :(
Thanks in advance!
