Observium Automatically Logging Out
Hi All,
We have Observium up on our NOC screen – the issue we are having is it seems to auto-logout after 20 mins or so.
Is there any way to have it log in, stay logged in and auto-refresh?
Cheers,
Greg

Tick the remember me box, make sure there's no ad or cookie blockers active on the machine?

The "remember me" box does precisely jack for me, however staying logged in and refreshing automatically is the default behaviour (I have observium open for weeks at a time), so I'm not sure what to say about your issue other than you either somehow have a weirdly buggy revision (I have literally never had observium log me out after n period) or something else is interfering.
The auto refresh, if you've turned it off (certain pages I think maybe now disable it whilst you're on them but the dashboard won't), is under the little menu under the gear at top right next to the search box.
What revision are you running?

I already had it installed, but not enabled. php5enmod mcrypt fixed that. Thanks for the pointer, Markus.

Same thing happens to me when navigating around from time to time
I used to just login again before I realized you can just hit back in the browser then navigate again where you want to go an everything works
I'm using static IP address, and I don't save login info into the browsers

Do people use LDAP as a login source ? I noticed this when use LDAP, but using a server that is several hops away. It happens less when using a server nearby.
So i surmised that authentication is happening every time you open a page. Try getting a list of devices in a location and middle clicking the device names quickly to stress the system.
thanks
